Don't you know God gives second chances after death?

You have made some very good and helpful points in here and I know you may be just trying to help. But you do not have the wisdom, understanding, or forgiveness that God does. You say how people who commit suicide and do not ask for God's forgiveness before they die go to hell. You say they will face judgment day. Do you not realize that everyone will face that moment? Because it states in the bible that not one human being has not sinned.

Do you not know that God gives them a 2nd chance to ask for forgiveness before or even after they die? Or do you not want to believe that He is that forgiving for some reason? In the bible it says that there is NO greater or smaller sin. Did you not know that? That even lusting or stealing or thinking bad thoughts is NO worse than taking your own life or murdering anothers?

God says "The Wages of sin is DEATH......but the gift of God is Eternal Life"! Maybe you don't want to believe that though. You are no better than all those people. Do you know why? Because it SAYS so in the bible -- that no man is above anyone else.

And here is something else: there are thousands of people out there in foreign, remote places who have NO access to the bible --- so those people, according to you, should automatically go to hell upon death? Preposterous! And what about all the young children who die early? Did you not know that we are ALL born into sin -- which it says in the bible. So I suppose you think they would go to hell too. Even though they had no true comprehension of God's Word at such a young age.

Do you not also realize that YOU will be judged one day as well? The bible says there is no person free of sin. That means YOU!! I hope you know that. And why are you even judging who will go to hell or not? Do you realize that that is a lie? It's a lie because you do not have the power to say who God will forgive. And if you aren't aware, it states numerous times that those who want forgiveness will have it!!! It doesn't say people who don't ask for it before they die will go to hell.

Do you know why? God let his son die for our sins. He knows we are not pure and perfect people. Did you also know that to EVEN think bad thoughts of people or to become angry at them is a sin in itself? To even "Hate" one's own brother (or anyone - whether it's a neighbor or stranger) is the same as killing him -- or murder in your heart -- which exacts the death penalty unless repented of!?? Well it is and it's written in his Word. You are not even immune from that. NO ONE IS.

You will face God's judgment just like everyone else. You are not divine. You are human ---MORTAL!! Subject to death! You are not wiser than anyone else. And to think so is to be prideful and vain --- which is another sin. You are not almighty and you are passing judgments without seeing into the hearts and minds of those people.

And you are wrong on one very important thing. You said suicide is a sin and that it is turning your back on God. no. It is a part of being a fallible person. You are judging them like you are seeing into their minds and hearts. Do you realize that is something only God is capable of doing? And that it is NOT God's way? God says He does not want judgmental, prideful, and self-righteous people. You yourself contemplated suicide. That IS itself a SIN!! And you will continue sinning, even habitual unknowing sins.

Do you realize that? You are not free from sin. And sometimes our nature is so ingrained that we do not even realize what we are doing. But the fact is that it is still a sin. That does NOT exclude YOU. And God may just ask you why you are judging people you don't even know. Only God sees their hearts and minds. And many of those people only want love and forgiveness.

Do you know that? And if they die first it is because they are fallible, not evil. God is forgiving and He is the ultimate truth. You are not. And you definitely are not all understanding as he is. He asks us not to judge i.e. Mtt. 7:1, 2. (Judge NOT that YE be NOT JUDGED, For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.) But that is what you are doing. You will not be spared from His judgment and if you think so it is your own human nature.

Just because you read the bible and believe in God does NOT mean you are free from sin. You need to realize that. You are NOT ABOVE anyone else. And your judgment day WILL come. Don't be so proud to think it won't. You may just be punished for it. But God is forgiving. And another thing -- Have you not read in the Bible, that everyone who has sinned before they died without God's forgiveness will be resurrected??

Do you realize that THAT means that you do not have to be forgiven in this world before you die because the majority of MANKIND has not "REPENTED?" That means that God will forgive you anyway! So what you said about all the people going to hell because they did not ask for forgiveness before they died is a LIE! And you have not read the Bible correctly and you are making sinful judgments. God does forgive them. That is why he is resurrecting them.

You have not been truthful in your WebSite! That is why you are not free from sin. And that is why you will be judged just like everyone else. You have proven yourself to be just as fallible and mistaken as everyone. Those people are forgiven and it says so in the Bible. You need to realize that! Don't think you're higher than them just cause thet make errors in judgment. God says they will be forgiven. They will be resurrected. They are not doomed to eternal hell as you wrongly think they are. And if you do believe in God and Jesus as much as you say you do, you will know it is true because your good book says so.

Remember that. Those people are NOT in hell. And they WILL be brought back and forgiven. Do not try to say they won't -- otherwise you are denying GOD'S word and HIS ULTIMATE FORGIVENESS. Those people you say are in hell and all the ones you say will go to hell ARE not lost. The only one who may be lost is you for denying the FACT that GOD will FORGIVE and RESSURECT them.

So DON'T deny the word of God and HIS promise of forgiveness. read the bible more carefully please and don't judge who will go to hell. that is GOD'S job, not yours. And all the unforgiven sinners will be resurrected in the new earth to be given another chance at life. If you deny that fact you ARE THE ONE who is denying the truth and forgiveness of God. And that will be a sad sin. You don't seem to be a bad person. You are just mistaken on forgiveness, like many people are. I know I have been wordy. But it hurts to hear people judge in such a way. I have sinned as much as anyone else and I will be judged. I have attempted suicide before. But I believe in God and His forgiveness. And I know very well what is said in the bible so please do not try to say what I have said is untrue. It is all there. I also know that I will sin in the future -- but I also know the forgiveness of God -- and I have read it many times. He will forgive sins unconfessed in life. Read it in the bible. i also know that I am a fallible person too and I will never try to deny that. And I'm sorry if I sound condescending . I don't mean to. I just know what the bible says and I want you to know. I am not excusing suicide. Yes, it's a sin. But it can be forgiven just like anything else. We are only human. It's our humanity.

My response is in Green:

I will agree with you about a few things. For one, I have never said that I am any better than anyone else, in fact I have mentioned many times that I am probably a worse sinner than most of the people who write me, that is as people judge sin. I stress to people that they must confess their sins and ask Jesus to forgive them. This must be done before the person dies, there are no second chances. No where in the Bible will you find it said that you can ask for forgiveness after you die.

(Hebrews 9:27 NIV) Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment --notice this does not mention a second chance it mentions death and then judgment.

You are talking about universalism, where God will save everyone, that is not biblical. He only saves those who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Everyone else will go to eternal punishment in hell. Jesus mentioned this often. Like this story that He told:

(Luke 16:19-31 NIV) "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. {20} At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores {21} and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. {22} "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. {23} In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. {24} So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' {25} "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. {26} And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' {27} "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, {28} for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' {29} "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' {30} "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' {31} "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

Are you telling me that the rich man was forgiven? That is not what Jesus said. I will also agree with you that no sin is worse than another, but that does not mean that they aren't all judged and the person sentenced to death. The only way out of that death sentence is to accept Jesus are your savior. As I quoted earlier that has to be done before the person dies.

Look at the following passages, none of them would make any sense at all if you get a second chance after you die:

(Ezekiel 3:20-21 NIV) "Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. {21} But if you do warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning, and you will have saved yourself."

(Matthew 5:22 NIV) But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca, ' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

(Matthew 5:29-30 NIV) If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. {30} And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

I will agree with you that Jesus died for all mankind, but it is up to the individual whether they accept that free gift or not.

Look at this passage: (Revelation 20:11-15 NIV) Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. {12} And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. {13} The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. {14} Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. {15} If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Now how is a persons name written in the book of life? By accepting Jesus as their savior. If then did not do that before they died then their name will not be in the book of life and they will be thrown into the lake of fire. I did not say that God said that!! Argue with Him if you like, but all I am doing is quoting His word.

These next passages also show that not everyone will enter into heaven:

(Matthew 7:13-14 NIV) "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. {14} But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

(Matthew 7:21-23 NIV) "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. {22} Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' {23} Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

(Matthew 25:41-46 NIV) "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. {42} For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, {43} I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' {44} "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' {45} "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' {46} "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Why would Jesus tell these people they will perish if it wasn't true: (Luke 13:1-5 NIV) Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. {2} Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? {3} I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. {4} Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them--do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? {5} I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

Here are three more for you to read: (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NIV) Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders {10} nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

(Ephesians 5:5-6 NIV) For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. {6} Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 NIV) The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, {10} and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

There are more but that should be enough for you. You claim I don't want to believe the Bible but how do you explain the verses I have quoted? Jesus said no one can come to the Father except through Him. There are no second chances. I will continue to preach the gospel because it is the way to life. I hope you will read your Bible and ask God to help you understand it. Have you repented of your sin and asked Jesus to be your Savior? If not you should, it is the only way to heaven. I am not better than you, I am not better than anyone, but I am covered by the blood of Jesus Christ who has forgiven my sins. That is available to everyone who is willing to accept it.

One last item, I have never said that those who have never heard the gospel will perish. I believe that Jesus died for all mankind and if we have the opportunity and refuse to accept salvation we will end up in hell. However, God is fair and just, and He will judge people on what they did know not on what they did not know. I believe that a child who dies before the age of accountability or if a person is mentally not able to understand that Jesus' blood covers their sins and God's grace saves them. We are all saved by grace, so this is consistent.

I hope you will accept Jesus as your Savior and start witnessing to the lost so that more people can be saved. God's love is universal but His forgiveness is not, it must be asked for through belief in Jesus Christ. Don't confuse the two, it has eternal implications.
