In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-3

From Orphanage to Heaven

I was 5 years of age when my father and mother got divorced. My father beat my mother which to this date I cannot forget. My mother got remarried, I had one brother and 4 sisters, but my mother's new husband did not like me so my mother decided to give me (only me) into an orphanage.

At this point I'm 5 1/2 years of age. I was for one year in this orphanage with bars. There I tried my first suicide attempt. So they decided to find foster parents for me which they did. I was living with them for 4 years then I came back into another orphanage. Until I turned 18 years of age I was in 3 different orphanages. By the time I was 13 I was an alcoholic. Had done drugs and you name it. Also I was in intensive care 3 times for alcohol poison, and 3 times in intensive care for trying to take my life.

The last time when I woke up in the hospital (15-1/2) years ago the pastor was over me and said you should not be alive according to human standards. He said he thinks God has something planned for me. At this point I was not yet saved. When I was 17 I heard somewhat about Christ, but how can someone like you or love you if none ever did? Once I started to put God more in my life I told a friend about Jesus. Well, that doesn't sound too hard, but that friend was the leader of the largest motorcycle gang in Germany and if he wanted to he could snap his finger and I would have been history.

I met my wife about the same time. We got married and she ask me if I would like to move to America, well I guess I had nothing to lose and here I am. Three years ago was the first time I have heard something from any of my family members, my brother was one of the only people I was able to remember so I was excited to talk to him on the phone as soon as one of my sister gave me his phone number I called him the next day. He died the day before in an motorcycle accident that was pain for me and still is.

I'm sharing this just to let people know how powerful God is. We always think there is no way out or any better way. But until we listen to God we never know.
